Bozeman’s Recent Crime Trends: Should Resident’s Be Worried?
I realize that I might catch some heat on this, but sometimes in life, we have the "tough talks".
We all know that Bozeman is growing, in fact, at one point it was one of the fastest-growing cities in America. People from all over are coming to Bozeman, whether it be for work or pleasure. As with any growth, it seems that we're experiencing some "growing pains" which is causing alarm among the city's residents.
Now keep in mind, we tend to remember the "good old days" in the best possible light, however, if you talk to any longtime Bozeman resident they'll tell you the city is changing at a rapid pace and it's not all for the better.
What's the biggest problem in Bozeman?
Other than the lack of housing and transplants, most locals would tell you it's crime. While "official" figures might say otherwise, many Bozeman residents say that crime is on the rise and some of those crimes are more violent.

Just in the last week or so, we've seen someone run over another person in a public parking lot and a teenager who was stabbed 16 times in a public park. That has led to many people asking "What in the world is going on with our city?"

How do we make Bozeman, Bozeman Again?
Bozeman isn't the only city facing these issues, many towns across Montana and the United States are having these issues, the question is, how do we fix it? Do we bring back "Neighborhood Watches"? Do we make harsher penalties? Or, do we accept the fact that this is the world we're living in?
