When you're younger, there are a few things most of us don't really think about. One of them is retirement. The other is our health.

I mean, I get it. You're young and living your life, plus, let's be honest, staying healthy can be a bit pricy. So, if it comes down to taking care of yourself or doing what you want, which one are you going to choose? I mean, there's the gym membership, then you have to buy the food, the workout clothes, and all of the supplements.

I'm getting worn out just thinking about it.

However, take it from someone who knows, the older you get, the more you realize that a few healthy choices along the way would have probably been a good idea. So, let's ask the question: how healthy are Montanans?

How healthy are Montanans?

The folks over at SmileHub decided to figure out which states were healthy and which ones weren't. So, where did Montana land on the list? Are we strong, productive, healthy citizens? Or are we a little more deep-fried and lazy?

Taking a look at the results, there are certainly states that are healthier than Montana; however, overall, we didn't do too badly. The Treasure State is ranked 13th out of 50, so while we didn't make the Top 10, we aren't far behind.

SmileHub took a look at the following:

  • Community Health
  • Healthcare Access
  • Personal Health and Wellness

Montana is ranked 29th for community health, 18th for healthcare access, and 2nd for personal health and wellness, which I'm sure is partly because of the outdoor and active lifestyle many Montanans lead.
