Montana State University Adds First Title To The Board
We love our Bobcats. It's not a surprise if you walk anywhere throughout this part of the state, including downtown Bozeman.
GO CATS GO is written across store fronts and vehicles along with yard signs showing support up and down the streets.
Why do we love and support our Cats so deeply? Easy. They are champions in everything they do. Their academics are top notch and their athletes are stars.
This past weekend we increased the amount of National Champions that will be seen throughout town. For the first time in history, the MSU Men's Lacrosse Team took home the title of National Championship.
Their win came to them as they defeated St. Thomas, 12-7, in the MCLA Division II final.
Congrats to the Men's Lacrosse Team!
The Men's Lacrosse team wasn't the only Bobcat success this weekend. The Men's Track and Field team secured a Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championship as well. The first since 2005 and the only the second championship win in the 60-year history of the Big Sky.
The men's team was short a few points and it came down to the last team event which just happened to to be the 4x400 meter team relay. Not only did the men's team win the 4x400 giving MSU a win, the team broke a school record by 3 seconds, which a huge deal.
Congrats to all our Bobcats and their huge wins this weekend. Bobcat Nation is so proud of all the athletes and coaches!
