Many people gravitate to our western part of the state when thinking retirement. It's easy to see why. The mountains are breathtaking at every turn of the road or trail. But one is standing out in this rating, Seeley Lake, MT.
The town is on one of the most scenic drives across Montana. And it offers everything outdoors, year around. Birding, mountain biking, hiking, golf, skiing, snowmobiling, the list goes on and on for fun in the area.

The town of Seeley Lake is considerably small, boasting 1682 residents as of the 2020 census. With the major city of Missoula just 52 miles away, you can still enjoy some of the amenities of the big city.
One of the major contributors to the retirement community looking towards this town is the designation of being a "warm-summer humid continental climate". While temperatures rarely lean to triple digits, winter temps can reach into the negative quite easily.
