Bozeman Hosts 8th Annual Warriors & Quiet Waters Taste Fest On 9/11
It's hard to believe that September 11th, 2001 was 25 years ago. Of course, like most of us, I remember where I was. I was on the radio doing a morning show when we figured out what had happened. To say, it was life changing would be an understatement.
9/11 changed everything. Soon our brave men and women in the Armed Forces would travel to foreign lands to seek justice. However, over time they would come home and had to deal with the scars of war, enter Warriors & Quiet Waters.

Warriors & Quiet Waters was founded to help post 9/11 vets, and over the years the program has developed into what it is today. A brother and sisterhood. The Built For More program is the cornerstone program and allows vets to connect with other vets as they enter a 9 month program of healing. There are many challenges along the way, and some really hard things on the path, but those going through the program are never alone.
The program starts and finishes with an outdoor adventure, and it has been proven to help those who've entered, however, the program isn't cheap.
In order to send a vet through the program it costs 18 thousand per person, and as WQW plans for their 25th year, their goal is to send 25 people through the program next year. Of course, this is a lofty goal with a hefty price tag, but you can help.
How can I help Warriors and Quiet Waters?
This year the 8th annual Warriors & Quiet Waters Taste Fest happens on September, 11th at The Commons. The event will feature several different foods and drinks from around Montana, plus there will be live music, an online and silent auction taking place. Not to mention artists will be finishing their original works that will be up for auction.
It should be noted that all proceeds go to help send participants to the Built For More program, so every ticket, every auction item sold will go to help those brave men and women who served our country in one of our darkest hours.
