Please go check your freezer and call your friends who might have this Tyson product, because dangerous foreign matter has been reported. It is unclear exactly which retailers sold the contaminated bags of chicken nuggets, but they were distributed nationwide.

The USDA recall alert was issued earlier in November, (November 4th, 2023), but it's very likely that bags of these Tyson chicken nuggets are still in people's freezers. These nuggets are distinct because they are shaped like dinosaurs.

Reports of pieces of metal in the nuggets have been noted. One minor oral injury was also reported. This is a large recall with over 29,000 pounds of nuggets being recalled. According to the official recall notice with the USDA:

Tyson Foods, Inc. a Berryville, Ark., establishment, is recalling approximately 29,819 pounds of fully cooked, breaded, shaped chicken patty product that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal pieces.

The chicken nuggets were shipped to large distribution centers in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. But the bags were then FURTHER distributed to retailers nationwide.

The most important thing to look for on these bags of Tyson chicken nuggets is the establishment number. "The product subject to recall bears establishment number “P-7211” located on the back on the package."
