When you work in the radio industry, it's important to keep up with modern trends so that you don't sound out of touch on the air.

You don't want people to think you're not cool, right? Well, sometimes when you are trying to be cool, you can end up looking stupid.

That's what happened to me recently. I'd been seeing all kinds of pictures of a new fashion trend called the "Monkey Tail Beard." I always have a beard, so I have a good amount of facial hair to work with. My beard was in need of a trim, so I thought I'd change things up and try out the monkey tail beard.

Using my beard trimmer, I carefully crafted my monkey tail beard. I paid a lot of attention to detail to make sure all of the lines were straight. As I shaved more of my beard off, I began to realize that I had made a mistake, and that the monkey tail beard was a bad idea.

I think if I was more of a hipster, I probably could pull it off. I thought about going out in public with it, but I don't think that's the best idea. People might think I'm crazy!

Unfortunately, I only kept the monkey tail beard long enough for a photo opp. Afterwards, I shaved it off and was filled with regret. Until my beard grows in again, my face is going to be cold. This was definitely one of those times that I was trying to be cool, and ended up looking ridiculous.
