The following information is based on a report provided by the Bozeman Police Department.

On Saturday afternoon, Bozeman police responded to a call regarding a possible drunk driver, who was reportedly heading to Starbucks on Main Street.

The driver was identified as Dylan Pinet and he was driving a motorized scooter.

Sergeant Ben Green and Officer Troy Fraley arrived in the area of 15th and Babcock at approximately 3:58 p.m. A male on a scooter, fitting Pinet's description, was observed committing multiple traffic offenses as he turned into Starbucks.

Green and Fraley spoke with the man, who reportedly provided a false name, but was later identified as Pinet. Green and Frayley confirmed that Pinet was on felony probation and conducted a DUI investigation.

Fraley determined that there was probable cause to arrest Pinet for Driving Under the Influence.

When Fraley informed Pinet that he was being arrested, Pinet reportedly turned and walked away from the officers.

Green and Fraley each grabbed Pinet, who began to struggle and pull away.

The two officers then took Pinet to the ground in order to gain control over him.

According to the police report, Pinet then began to repeatedly strike Green in the face with a closed fist four times.

Green then deployed his taser and struck Pinet in the right thigh. It was at this point that the officers were able to control Pinet and restrain him.

Pinet was treated for injuries at Bozeman Deaconess before being transported to the Gallatin County Detention Center.
