New True Crime Series Tells Gruesome Story of Idaho Murders
If you are a true crime fanatic, you've most likely heard about the murders of four students in Moscow, Idaho. The story has gained national attention, and a new crime series dives deeper into the murders that took place in 2022.
Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle were students at the University of Idaho and lived in off campus housing. On the night of November 13, 2022, all four of the students were brutally murdered. Following months of investigation without many answers, Bryan Kohberger was arrested and faces charges of first-degree murder and felony burglary.
Moscow, Idaho is slightly over 4 hours from Missoula, and news of the murders quickly spread throughout Montana. Considering the short distance, many Montanans were concerned about their own safety. A new crime docuseries streaming on Paramount+ tells the story from a different perspective. It follows social media influencers known as "Cyber Sleuths" and their efforts to crack the case.
Personally, I'm not what you'd call a true-crime junkie, but the docuseries about the Idaho murders was very captivating, and I couldn't avoid getting sucked down the rabbit hole.
States like Idaho and Montana aren't usually at the center of national attention, so when something big happens, it tends to take on a life of its own. If you are a fan of true crime and want to learn more about the murders in Moscow, I would highly recommend watching the documentary. It's only 3 episodes. Each is approximately an hour long.
