As the population continues to grow throughout the state, we're seeing more non-Montana-based businesses making their way to Big Sky Country. While this might be bothersome to some, it does give consumers more options when it comes to shopping.

The latest retail chain to announce they're expanding in Montana was founded back in 1992 and has its headquarters in Massachusetts and is owned by a company that also includes popular stores such as TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Sierra Trading Post.

HomeGoods, which specializes in furniture, cooking products, linens, and home decor and has over 800 locations across the country, announced on its website that they are coming to Montana.

According to the website, HomeGoods will be opening its second Montana store in Billings. HomeGoods will be located on Kings Ave West and will be open 7 days a week. Several of the HomeGoods locations are in combination with either TJ Maxx or Marshalls, however, it doesn't appear that will be the case with the new Montana location.

A couple of things that seem to make HomeGoods so popular are reasonable pricing along with one-stop shopping when it comes to home decor.

HomeGoods has several different departments to choose from, such as furniture, lighting, kitchen, bed and bath, rugs, and even stuff for kids and pets. While this will be the second HomeGoods location in Montana, it's certainly possible that others will follow across the state, especially in the more populated cities.

Currently, the HomeGoods website doesn't have an official opening date for the Billings location.
