PSA: This is NOT my opinion. This is according to Alot Finance, and boy or boy do I have a bone to pick with this.

Apparently the website came out with a list of the ugliest towns in each state and what they picked for Montana is absolutely absurd. I mean seriously, I have driven through towns that are much "uglier" than what they chose.

What town is considered the ugliest in all of Montana?

Drum roll please...Butte, MT. Is this a joke? I wondered how this website came up with this outcome and they claim it's straight from you guys.

Whether it's from lack of maintenance or just poor design choices, these fifty spots are more than an eyesore. They may be great places to live, but these cities won't be winning beauty contests anytime soon!

Here are the ugliest cities to look at in every state throughout the country—according to reviews by local residents on sites like Niche and Reddit. If you live in one of these places, sorry to break the bad news... But if you don't, keep them in mind the next time you're planning a cross-country road trip or accepting out-of-town job opportunities; you don't want to be stuck anywhere near these spots! -Alot Finance

Pretty sure the author of the above article would receive the good ol' Butte Salute. 😉

So, I went to reddit to try and find all the reviews of how "ugly" Butte is. Weird, I couldn't find any.

What I could find was that Butte is full of great restaurants and endless history:

Casagrandas has some tasty meals. And I'm usually weary of ordering a steak at a restaurant (they're so often sub-par). But they make a pretty damn good steak!

Try a pasty while you're here. We're known for them.

The uptown Pork Chop John's makes a mean pork chop sandwich.

La Sirena is (in my opinion) our best Mexican food. Have Fun! -Reddit User, Brokid81

But Butte being one the "ugliest" towns in Montana? Nope, I'm not buying it.

Know Your Butte History: Standing Mine Headframes

Dozens of mine headframes used to dot the Butte hill but most have since been torn down or swallowed by the Pit. Here are the ones that still tower proudly over our town.
