Montana is filled with some spectacular small towns and to be honest, this one is pretty darn special and I love going here as much as I can.

Far and Wide came out with America's 50 Best Small Towns in the Mountains and the town they chose is Whitefish, Montana and I can't argue with their choice.

Whitefish is pretty incredible, they have Whitefish Mountain Resort, which is one of the most underrated ski resorts in all of North America, a fantastic lake to go swimming or boating on or my favorite part, their downtown.

Whitefish's downtown area is what a small town downtown should look like. All local small businesses from sporting goods to great food and so much more. Plus, they usually host a pretty rocking Oktoberfest and a great Christmas festival as well.

My personal favorite spots to go to in Whitefish is Piggyback BBQ, seriously this place is a must if you are in Whitefish, Great Northern Bar, which has great drinks and food but they also have live music and a ping pong table to assert your dominance on your friends and family(my brother and I get into tense ping pong battles).

Plus, Whitefish is close to Glacier National Park in case you want to go on some incredible hiking trails or see some wildlife. Whitefish truly has it all and if you have never been, take some time out this winter and take a trip up there. You won't regret it.
