The SOUTHERN portions of Gallatin and Madison counties could see up to 5 inches of fresh snow by Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

  • WHAT: Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with localized amounts up to 5 inches, are expected.
  • WHERE: Southern Beaverhead, Madison and southern and central Gallatin County. This does not include Bozeman, Ennis, and Dillon.
  • WHEN: Until midnight Sunday.
  • Plan on slippery road conditions. Expect reduced visibiliy at times.

  • A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.
  • Expect snow covered roads and limited visibility, and use caution while driving.
