Belgrade High School was placed in a shelter in place protocol around noon on Wednesday according to a statement from the Belgrade School District.

The shelter in place protocol took place as a precautionary measure after a student overheard two other students discussing bringing a gun to school. This is the second shelter in place for Belgrade High in the past two days.

After an investigation law enforcement did not find any evidence to substantiate the claim of a possible gun.

Superintendent Godfrey Saunders stated the shelter in place protocol has been lifted.
