One of America’s Best Italian Restaurants is in Montana
You may not think of amazing Italian food when you think of Montana, but you'd be surprised to find how many authentic Italian restaurants are scattered across the state.
Italian food is the ultimate comfort food. If you eat too much of it, you'll most likely need to lie down for a nap afterward. Personally, I absolutely love Italian food. You've most likely heard of chain Italian restaurants like Olive Garden or Old Chicago, but for this article, I want to highlight a few locally-owned restaurants in Montana.
If you happen to be in the Bozeman area, Blackbird is your best choice for Italian food. Billings residents can head to Bistro Enzo for authentic Italian fare. In Missoula, Romeo's Italian Kitchen is a popular choice.
Depending on where you are in Montana, you're not too far from a quality Italian restaurant, but if you're looking for the best in Montana, you'll need to head to Helena.
Where is the Best Italian Restaurant in Montana?
Taste of Home released an updated list of the best Italian restaurants in each state for 2023, and Lucca's Italian, a dinner-only restaurant in Helena was their pick for Montana. Lucca's was named the best restaurant in Montana in 2015, 2016, and 2017 by Business Insider.
Just looking at pictures of the food at Lucca's is guaranteed to make your mouth water. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. If you want to get a table, making a reservation is your best option. Click here for more information and to make a reservation.
Honorable Mention
There's another fantastic Italian restaurant in Montana that needs to be on your radar. Piccola Cucina at Ox Pasture in Red Lodge is known as one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in the state. The food is excellent. If you're lucky, you might witness the staff and customers spontaneously dancing and singing. It's very busy, so making a reservation is highly recommended.
