The Big Sky Country State Fair has released attendance numbers for the fair, which took place at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds July 21-25.

The Big Sky Country State Fair, presented by your local Montana Ford dealers shattered an attendance record on Wednesday, July 21. According to Dennis Voeller, the fair’s general manager, 14,500 people were in attendance at the fair on its first day.

Three nights of great concerts, including Nelly with special guest Carly Pearce, Granger Smith with special guest Kolby Cooper, and Trace Adkins with special guest Parmalee brought in 8,962 people, up 55% over 2019 concert attendance.

Overall, 57,203 people visited the Big Sky County State Fair in 2021, up 40% over 2019.

The Big Sky Country State Fair was rewarded for new programming efforts this year with a record response from the fair going public. The response from the public will allow staff to pursue an even better program for 2022.

said Dennis Voeller.

The most popular events at the Big Sky Country State fair were the concerts, animals in the livestock barns, and the Bozeman Roundup Rodeo.

New events, including the Extreme Raptor Show, American Minor League Ninjas, and the Chicago Honey Bear Dancers were also well received at the Big Sky Country State Fair. Fair attendees were also happy to see the return of some familiar events, such as the carnival, petting zoo, Extreme Dogs, Mud Bog, Hill ‘N Hole, and Kid’s Tractor Pedal Pull.

Fair organizers also paved the area around the fair office building and the area from food row to Anderson Arena, making access easier for strollers and wheelchairs.

We want to thank the public for the positive attitude presented by the vast majority of attendees. We look forward to providing them with an even better experience in 2022.
