Bozeman And Gibson Celebrate National Guitar Day In Style
Today is National Guitar Day and in case you didn't know, some of the finest guitars in the world are created right here in Bozeman over at the Gibson Guitar Factory off of 19th.
Gibson first came to the area back in 1988 and since then, every single acoustic guitar that Gibson builds is built right here in Bozeman, Montana. With over 100 years of excellent craftsmanship, Gibson has the reputation of being top of the line when it comes to musical instruments, and with good reason.
Each Gibson guitar made here in Bozeman goes through a process that ensures quality. In fact, Gibson is so sure that the instrument they build you will last, that they include a lifetime warranty. It takes about 30 days from start to finish for each guitar that Gibson builds, however, you know that you are purchasing an instrument that really is a one-of-a-kind guitar since each one is handmade.
Taking a tour of the Gibson plant is really a fascinating experience, and while they aren't open for the public, they soon will be once their expansion is complete in late spring. In addition to the expansion, Gibson will also be adding a Custom Shop here in Bozeman. This, of course, will allow customers to order the guitar of their dreams.
While the saying "you get what you pay for" is certainly true, Gibson offers guitars at different price points, starting out at right around 1000 dollars, which for a hand-made, solid wood, American-made guitar is a bargain.
Gibson is also a big part of giving back. With Gibson Gives and the Gibson Foundation, the company makes sure that music will live on for generations to come through generous donations of instruments to different organizations. Case in point, for years Gibson has donated a guitar each year for our local Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon.
So, as we celebrate National Guitar Day today, let's thank all of our fellow Bozemanites that work every day to make sure that the music continues and will for years to come.
