If you're new to the Bozeman area, there are several helpful groups of Facebook that are intended to help you get acquainted with the city. Unfortunately, some groups on the popular social media platform do the exact opposite. To put it simply, some of them are a complete waste of your time.

Personally, I don't spend much time on social media. Mostly because it's become a place where people insult others that don't agree with their viewpoints on certain topics. Social media used to a great way to keep in touch with friends, family, and colleagues, but it has morphed into something much less pleasant.

Is This Bozeman Facebook Group Helpful Or Dumb?

To be honest, I don't know much about the algorithms that Facebook uses, but several posts from the Bozeman Bad Drivers page have been showing up on my newsfeed. Most of the time, the posts have nothing to do with bad driving. In fact, there are more examples of bad parking than anything.

A few members of the page have posted videos of other drivers doing dumb stuff, but they usually get called out for using their cell phone while driving. The group has over 8,000 members, which is very confusing since most of the posts are a waste of time. I don't understand how people have so much time on their hands. Do they really drive around Bozeman looking for people that aren't parked correctly? Seriously, find a hobby! Maybe they can take up finger painting.
