You Need to See This New Saltwater Pool in Bozeman
A popular hotel in Bozeman is now home to the city's first saltwater pool. While the pool itself is not new, the hotel recently transitioned the pool from freshwater to saltwater. The benefits included guest health and a reduced environmental impact compared to traditional chlorine pools.
Bozeman Makes a Splash! City Unveils First-Ever Saltwater Pool
A new saltwater pool in Bozeman is the first in the Gallatin Valley. According to a press release, the Kimpton Armory Hotel has converted its rooftop pool to saltwater. Benefits include the use of fewer harsh chemicals and saltwater is less irritating for skin, eyes and lungs. The new pool will also require less maintenance and less water. Additionally, soaking or swimming in a saltwater pool can ease sore muscles and joints, promote healthy breathing, and lower stress levels. The rooftop pool at the Kimpton Armory Hotel in downtown Bozeman measures 22’L X 15’W, is 3’6” deep and holds 8,247 gallons. Guests can enjoy the pool and deck area from 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. daily. The pool is open only to guests staying at the hotel.

Unlike traditional pools, saltwater pools don’t require regular additions of salt or chlorine, and they are gentler on the skin and eyes. They also have lower annual costs and are better for the environment. We’ve seen that our guests tend to be conscious of their health and the environment, so this was not only a business decision but one with our guests in mind.
