Here’s One Thing That’ll Make You Love Spring in Montana
Spring is somewhat elusive in Montana. When you think temperatures are starting to warm up, you get a winter storm warning on your phone. Montana probably isn't the best place to visit if you're longing for a sandy beach to soak in the sun over spring break. However, there is one aspect of spring that makes Montana better than most other states.
Here's One Thing You Will Love About Spring in Montana
Some Montana residents will tell you that the state always has a second winter. Nice sunny days are few and far between during spring, and snowstorms happen fairly often. Once temperatures finally start warming up, that's when the magic happens.
I have witnessed some of the most incredible thunderstorms in Big Sky Country. On some days, it seems like storm cells are building in every direction. The skies may be dark, but when the thunder booms and lightning flashes across the sky, there's nothing else like it.
Witnessing a thunderstorm during the spring in Montana is a magical experience. Once summer arrives, thunderstorms and lightning can be extremely dangerous and have the potential to start devastating wildfires.
It's always important to be thankful for the small things in life, and I love a good thunderstorm. There's nothing like feeling the ground shake beneath your feet when thunder rumbles through the sky. Honestly, it's one of my favorite things about spring in Montana. Mother Nature always seems to put on a mind-blowing show for all of us to enjoy.
