Montana’s ‘Dancing Dougie Hall’ is on Season 2 of Landman
Two years ago, MTN dubbed him "Montana's Most Interesting Man." Now, this Indian Cowboy, inspirational speaker, entrepreneur, and professional bucking horse producer, Dougie Hall, is back on our televisions in the wildly popular series Landman.
Hall is a Native from the Blackfeet Reservation near Browning, MT. His entertaining (and interesting) videos have made him a bit of a social media star. Hall has roughly 300,000 followers on TikTok, 200,000 on Instagram, and another 100,000 on Facebook.
In this 2023 YouTube clip below, Dougie shared what ranch life is like in the middle of a Montana winter. Hint: it's not easy.
Dancing Dougie Hall is also an actor.
My spouse and I are getting ready to start watching the Paramount+ series Landman. Ok, we may have started Season 1... but I fall asleep easily when she wants to watch TV late at night, so we're going to do a re-do on Season 1 before jumping into the current season.
Anyway, as I was working on this article, I found that Landman isn't Hall's first foray into acting. He worked as a cowboy stuntman on Kevin Costner's two-part film Horizon. Fans of Tyler Sheridan's set-in-Montana 1923 might recognize Dougie from his character Two Spears, a Comanche reservation officer.

Hall also worked on Wyoming singer/songwriter Ian Munsick's documentary, White Buffalo of the West, which was released in 2024. In Landman, Hall plays a character named Russ "King" Fisher.
When he's not in front of the camera or busy with speaking engagements, Dougie Hall owns and operates his bucking horse company called Good Medicine Bucking Horses, LLC. I love this quote on the company's website:
You may have lots of horses to ride, but remember: you've only got 1 ass.
