Which lake is the deepest in Montana?

As we mentioned above, Flathead is huge as far as the area covered, but as far as depth, we're looking at right around 370 feet. Lake McDonald, which is located in Glacier National Park has a depth of over 470 feet, however, the winner of the deepest lake in Montana is none other than Tally Lake.

Tally Lake is located in Flathead Country and has a depth of almost 500 feet.

Tally Lake covers an area of just over 1200 acres and includes a campground.  Located just west of Whitefish and Columbia Falls, the lake is 32 miles (48 minutes by car) from Flathead Lake and is surrounded by breathtaking views.
