If this happens, many Montanans will rejoice over not dealing with these frustrating vehicles in 2024.

One thing many Montanans would love is the warm, sunny months could last longer during the spring and summer. It's the best time of the year to go camping, hiking, or spend time on the water. You don't have to be bundled up in jackets or fleece-lined pants to go outside and get to your car. It's a pleasant time of the year.

Most people during the summer will bike or drive around town to enjoy the gorgeous weather, but there has been a new way to get around that has become a nuisance over the past couple of years.

We are talking about electric scooters. Electric scooters use an app for people to gain access and pay to gain access to these rides, and young adults and teenagers love using them. They are affordable and fun, but some folks like to leave the scooters in the middle of sidewalks or in people's yards after they are done.

It's become a massive issue for many locals and Bozeman. Well, we might have some good news for you.

USA Today reports that the electric scooter company Bird has filed for bankruptcy. Once valued at over $2 billion, the company has a few short months to sell its assets to recoup losses to its investors.

What does that mean for Montana? Bird scooters might have to scale down their operations and leave smaller markets that don't make high enough profits. So, in a place like Montana, where they can only use these scooters during limited months, unlike California, we might see electric scooters disappear from our streets.

That would be joyful news to many locals who loathe electric scooters. It's a bummer for many young adults and teenagers who need an affordable way to get around town fast and easily. Maybe they should check out the Streamline Bus.
