This Beautiful Resort in Montana Includes A Spooky Urban Legend
If you want to spend a weekend in a beautiful location and possibly get spooky, we have the place to check out.
It's October, and everyone needs to get into the spooky spirit. You could either be decorating your house, dressing up in costumes, or finding a place to be one with ghosts.
If you have lived in Montana for any time, you know Montana has some creepy places and stories. We have ghost towns, abandoned orphanages, and underground cities that have been long rumored to have supernatural visitors.
Montana also has several urban legends. Many of these urban legends deal with tall tales or stories of the Old West, but if you want to know the spookiest urban legend in Montana, you are in luck.
Reader's Digest made a list of the Spookiest Urban Legends in Every State, and Montana's is not only down the road from Bozeman but can be found at one of the most beautiful resorts.
Motnana's spookiest urban legend is The Lady in White at Chico Hot Springs. As the story goes, the Lady in White roams the halls of Chico Hot Springs, scaring guests and staff. She leads folks to Room 349, where a rocking chair moves by itself. The chair sometimes ends up in random rooms and always faces the window. Pretty spooky!
After all the years of visiting Chico Hot Springs and living in the area, we had never heard of this story. Montana has several haunted hotels, but having one of the top-rated hot springs resorts haunted is new and exciting.
At least you don't have to travel far to get into the spooky spirit. You could get into the Halloween spirit and enjoy a wonderful relaxing hot spring at the same time. That's Montana at its finest.
