There isn't an In-N-Out location in Montana, but you don't have to travel far if you're craving a double-double animal style.

In-N-Out is one of the most popular fast-food chains in America. Whenever my friends travel somewhere that has an In-N-Out, they always post pictures of themselves devouring their meal on social media.

There are a lot of fast-food burger joints to choose from, but for some reason, people seem to love In-N-Out the most. Out of curiosity, I decided to find out how far you'd have to travel from Montana to get your In-N-Out fix, and here's what I found.

How Far Would You Drive For An In-N-Out Burger?

The closest In-N-Out is in Logan, Utah. I used my work address in Bozeman as a starting point and realized that it's less than a six-hour drive. That's really not that bad. If you're traveling from Missoula, the drive will take you just shy of seven hours. A location in Boise, Idaho is also scheduled to open this year.

What Is So Special About In-N-Out?

One of the great things about In-N-Out is the ability to customize your burger and add additional toppings including grilled onions and other items on the restaurant's not-so-secret menu. Also, everything is always made fresh.

If you're craving In-N-Out, a drive to Logan, Utah may be worth your time. You could make a weekend out of it at take the kids to Lagoon, which isn't much further away. If you do decide to make the trip, reach out to me before you go so that I can tell you what to bring back for me.

If you don't want to travel out of state, the Hideaway Grill in Bozeman has an "In-N-Out" style burger on their menu.
