Snow Expected in Bozeman

Old Man Winter may have finally caught up with us.

So far, Bozeman has had a mild autumn, but that could all change this weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for parts of central Montana, including Helena and Great Falls, from Sunday evening through Monday afternoon. The National Weather Service is predicting a strong Canadian cold front will move into the north central part of the state, bringing with it 2-4 inches of snow in the plains and 4-18 inches in the mountains.

While Gallatin County isn’t included in that advisory, the National Weather Service is predicting that we’ll see some snow this weekend as well.

While Saturday is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high of 53 in Bozeman, the weather is expected to change to rain on Sunday. By Sunday night that rain could turn to snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow is likely Monday, and by Tuesday, Bozeman could see high temperatures in the 20s.
