My 4th of July celebration didn't include fireworks. Instead, it was filled with family, hot springs, fishing with my nephew, bull snakes, rivers, and mountain air.
This is great to share with out of state friends or folks who just moved to the area. Montana road trips by car or motorcycle are part of our culture. Montana is beautiful and sometimes you have to hit the open road to appreciate it.
All football trash talking aside, I like Missoula, Montana a lot. Their downtown scene reminds me of our own here in Bozeman. Their summer is full of fun events and festivals AND they get great live music year round.

I don't fill up very often so the price of a gallon of regular took me by surprise this afternoon. Less than $2 a gallon? Yes. In Bozeman, Livingston, Helena and several other towns in southwest Montana.
