The Downtown Bozeman Summer Starts: Music on Main 2022

Thursday evenings come alive in downtown Bozeman with free live music on Main Street along with food vendors and kids activities.

Two full blocks of Main Street are closed to vehicle traffic each Thursday evening for Music on Main. The designated blocks become walkable in the street so you can enjoy the food vendors and other activities.

Activities begin at 6:30pm or so with the live music on stage starting at 7pm. The concert goes until 8:30pm. (Many downtown bars have more events or live music after that to keep the evening rolling if you want to stay downtown for more fun.)

There is the Coca Cola “Kid’s Zone” on South Bozeman Avenue with inflatables, hula hooping and other activities provided by area non-profits. Activities may vary from week to week but there's always something fun for the kiddos.

IMPORTANT RULES at Music on Main: There are also NO glass or aluminum containers, NO pets, NO coolers and NO smoking allowed in the event area. Music on Main is a Smoke and Vapor-FREE Event.

You ARE allowed to have an open container in the designated Music on Main area, DURING specific times. No glass bottles or cans are allowed. You must use an approved Music on Main plastic cup for beverages.

The Open Container Waiver allows for anyone over the age of 21 to have an open container of alcohol within the "event area" purchased by one of the licensed beverage establishments within the "event area" ONLY. The "event area" includes; Main Street from Black to Rouse Avenues and side-streets to the alleys during the Music on Main event from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday nights from July 7 – August 11, 2022 ONLY.

Anyone with an open container outside of these perimeters before 6pm or after 9pm will be subject to a $100 open container ticket issued by the City of Bozeman.
