This Might Be The Best Road Trip Tip in Montana
Everyone loves a good tip when traveling in Montana and this might be one that many folks might not believe.
Everyone loves a good road trip, and Montana is one of the best states for that activity. Montana has highways and roads that go on forever and scenery that will blow your mind.
The only downside of road-tripping through Montana is the constant construction zones and heavy traffic. These delays can make your journey feel twice as long to arrive at your destination.
That's why I have a fantastic tip for road-tripping in Montana that could make your life a little easier.
I was out of state the past several days seeing friends and family and had to drive back on everyone's favorite holiday July 4th. I knew traveling on July 4th could have some drawbacks but I had to do it. I didn't know was driving on this date was the best decision ever.
Because July 4th landed on a Tuesday this year, people who enjoy celebrating July 4th were already at their desired places to party and didn't have to travel. When I hit the Montana border, there was little traffic on the interstate to Bozeman. It was fantastic.
The best part is the Montana Department of Transportation halts construction on the interstate during the Fourth of July so many of the work zones were cleared up and there were barely any slow-down areas. The Montana Department of Transportation usually stops construction during summer holidays.
It was one of the most pleasant trips I have ever had in the summer traveling in Montana.
So the next time you are planning a trip around Montana or trying to get back home, you might want to plan on traveling during a holiday during the week. You might have clear roads and zero traffic.
Just a thought.
