With help from the public, law enforcement was able to locate Hill and return him home safely. Because the boy is mentally delayed, according to the Bozeman Police Department, they were concerned that Hill may run into traffic or away from people trying to stop him.

When a child is reported missing, time is of the essence. Thankfully, it didn't take long for law enforcement to locate Hill.

According to a statement from Bozeman Police Sergeant Shawn Toresdahl, Hill was located at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday near Kirk Park on N. 20th Ave. in Bozeman.

The Bozeman Police Department would like to thank the public for providing information that helped locate Hill less than two hours after he was reported missing. The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, Bozeman Fire, AMR, and search & rescue volunteers also assisted in the search.

The fact that Hill was located in such a short time is a great reminder of how fortunate we are to live in a small community. When residents are called upon to help, they don't hesitate to take action. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending. We are so glad that Levi Hill is home safe.
