Back in August of 1959, an earthquake would cause a major landslide that would take the lives of dozens of people and forever chance the Montana landscape.
It was 5:44am on Tuesday morning when the magnitude 4.1 quake shook an area about 50 miles outside of Billings, MT. The quake struck just east of the Bull Mountains.
An earthquake was felt just before 6 p.m. Tuesday night in the Bozeman area. People on social media are posting that they felt the quake in Bozeman, Four Corners, Livingston, and Butte.
