Each tour stop promises to be more than just a broadcast. Expect immersive local coverage, fan interactions, storytelling, and behind-the-scenes access that brings a state’s sports culture to life. From high school rivalries and rodeos to college athletics and legendary local athletes, the tour celebrates the rich and diverse world of American sports, state by state.

ESPN Brings SportsCenter to Bozeman This Summer
According to ESPN, the SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days tour officially kicks off in Washington, D.C., on June 27 and concludes on August 16 at the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania. The cross-country journey will spotlight one state per day for 50 consecutive days, blending live broadcasts with local stories, athlete interviews, and community-focused features.
Bozeman’s moment in the spotlight will happen on Monday, July 21, when SportsCenter broadcasts live from the Big Sky Country State Fair. ESPN anchor Treavor Scales will host the live segment starting at 5:00 a.m., bringing national attention to Montana’s vibrant sports scene and its breathtaking backdrop.
Interestingly, the Big Sky Country State Fair wraps up the day before, on Sunday, July 20, prompting some fans to question the choice of venue. While the fairgrounds will still be active and scenic, many believe Bobcat Stadium, home of Montana State University football, might have offered a more electric setting for a live sports broadcast.
Bozeman’s selection as the Montana stop is a big win for the community. Whether you're a Montana State Bobcats fan, a high school sports booster, or just someone who loves seeing Bozeman on the national stage, July 21 is a date to mark on your calendar.
