Homestake Pass Could Get 6 Inches of Snow by Thursday Morning

A Winter Weather Advisory for the Butte/Blackfoot region will bring fresh snow overnight with up to 6 inches over Homestake Pass by Thursday morning.

According to the National Weather Service:

Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9 PM this evening to 9 am Thursday above 4500 feet.

• WHAT: snow is expected.
• Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches locally, up to 6 inches are expected.
• WHERE: Butte, Georgetown Lake, Highway 12 Avon to MacDonald Pass, Homestake pass.
• WHEN: from 9 PM this evening to 9 am Thursday.
• Plan on difficult travel conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
