Old School Montana: Enjoy a Glacier National Park Promotional Video From 1947
Montana has always been a popular destination for family road trips, but seeing this video from 1947 is the BEST. (We enjoyed the "hiking in dresses" look.)
Glacier was designated a National Park in 1910.
You'll see Glacier Park Hotel, an awkwardly phrased piece on the Blackfeet Indians (complete with tee-pees), the Going to the Sun Highway, the Prince of Wales Hotel (as they describe the proximity to Canada), and Iceberg Lake.
These days you've got Glacier National Park webcams all over. You don't even have to visit in person!
