Very gusty winds up to 40 MPH may accompany heavy snow in the higher elevations of SW Montana. Most valley areas under the Storm Warning may see 3 - 5 inches of snow, all by Wednesday morning.

It could be a VERY messy Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning across several counties of southern Montana. Travel may be extremely difficult at times with greatly reduced visibility.

The highest elevations in southwest Montana may actually get up to 15" of fresh snow, on top of pretty significant amounts received this past weekend. (Bad for travel but good for snowpack!!!)

As always, it's important to make sure your emergency kit is stocked and in your vehicle. Double check the front and back windshield wipers and make sure your wiper fluid is filled up.

Using your headlights in inclement weather is absolutely crucial. When the visibility drops but you must be on the road, make yourself as visible to other drivers as possible.

Keep in mind, with only a couple of inches of snow...truckers spray a huge amount of snow to their rear. You might have decent visibility one minute and next to ZERO visibility when passed by a trucker. ALWAYS USE CAUTION!
